  2. Are you aware of the light when you take photos? What can you do to become more aware?
  3. Analyze the attached photo by Ansel Adams answering the following about the light:
  • From what source(s) is the light coming from? (Be sure to note ALL available light sources.)
  • From what direction is the light source?

  4. 1.because when u take a pic it is only black and white(light and dark).if the picture outcome relies on how much light and where the light is coming from.
2.analize where the light is coming from and how much light is on my object.
3a the sunlight is a source and maybe a flash from a camera.
3b the light is coming from the north east of the photo(top left corner.
3c the light is hitting the ground and rocks and trees.
3d light reveals the top and depth of the rocks but hides what is under the shadows.
3e the time of day is important because of where the sun is and how much sunlight is on ur object cause early or really late in the day is less light compared to the midday.the time in this photo seems around 6pm.

  5. 1. i think lighting is the most important, because you would want your main object in the picture to be seen clearly and pop out from everything else. The lighting gives the importance of the picture and draws you to look near the lighting.
2.yes i know if i'm in a darker area i need the flash, but i try to go to a place with good bright lighting like the sun and try to block shadows if taking pictures of people.
    3. the light is coming from the sun from the left of the picture hitting the tree and rocks. the picture looks like it would be sometime in the morning because the sun hasn't fully risen above your head yet.

  7. 1.) Lighting is the most important element in photography to be aware of because when crating shadows on an object to give it depth, you want to be aware of how the light hits the object to give it depth and shape and value.
2.) You can become more aware by moving your position and then take the picture and see how the light is being cast upon that object.
3.) A. The light is coming from the sun and from the sky as well.
    B. The light is coming from yours and my left if your looking at the picture.
    C. The light is hitting upon the tree and through the tree, it bounces upon the rocks.
    D. The light reveals the detail of the bark on the trees and the roughness of the rock. It hides the smaller pebbles under the big rock due to the shadow that is being cast.
    E. Well it's black and white, so you really can't tell, but I would say like around noon, when it's the hottest point of the day.

2.) Some time it will come out dark because it has been exposed too long and some time to white that means not enough
3.) Its the sun you can tell it’s on the left side but it’s not in the photo
B.)From the left but it’s is not shown
C.)It’s hitting the tree but it really shows on the rocks and the ground
D.)Its reveals the tree, rock, and the ground the most and hides the right side of the objects
E.)It is most likely over mid day or early in the morning like 9:00am

  10. 1. This is because if you have too much or too little light you will ruin a picture.

    2. I am aware of light for if i were not i would not take good pictures. You could think about the weather and what time of day it is and if the light is natural or artificial.

    3.

  11. 1. Lighting is important because without it you wouldn't be able to see the details of the picture. Without it, there would be no value in the picture. Without light, there would be no color and the world would be dull.
    2. Yes I always analyze the light before taking my photo because it can have a huge effect on how it turns out and the focus of the photo.
    3.
